Registering for Bookmarking Sites – Automatically and Semi-Automatically

Tip: Create a new Gmail account

At this stage, it’s probably a good idea to setup a new GMAIL account for all the social bookmarking sites. You can redirect your domain url to GMAIL if you still want to use your domain, but these sites really clutter up your inbox with a lot of useless crap – however, you will need them to ‘activate’ your account.

Registering for Bookmarking Sites: Auto-Signup

Next Step is to use the in-built Auto-Signup for as many social bookmarking accounts that the software supports. On the main screen, choose a Profile, and click on Signup. It will show you which sites from your list, that you are able to “automatically” signup to using your Company Profile information. Most of the popular social bookmarking sites do not support this kind of registration, but the bulk of the Pligg sites (over 1000) do.

Select and Start Auto-Signup

Select the sites you want to automatically signup to and then click on Start. Pre-warning: Most of these Pligg sites have CAPTCHA codes even though it’s not indicated in the list! Very happy that I only chose 3 to use an example for this screenshot :) You might get a bit annoyed if you choose “Select All” ;)

Semi-Automatic Registrations

The rest of the sites will have to be signed up for semi-automatically. Highlight the site on the left-hand side of the screen and click on “Signup” on the right-hand side of the screen.

Auto-Fill Browser

A new Browser Window will appear and the software will automatically fill in all the fields that it possibly can, so all you need to do is fill out whatever is missing or wrong – in the case above, I would change the realname, type in the correct URL, and type in the CAPTCHA code. Some of the others might require you to put a checkbox beside their Terms and Conditions, etc.

Register for all

Go through each of the social bookmarking registrations until you have registered them all. Allow time! lol.

Activating emails

Most of the Social Bookmarking sites will require you to activate your profile before you are able to submit to them.
So login to your Gmail account and activate each one (usually requires you to click on a link).
Delete/Archive the ones you have activated and setup a filter to automatically delete/archive messages.
